Archaeology is the study of people who lived in the past by looking at the things they left behind. These clues can be parts of buildings now buried under the ground or may be objects such as old pottery or bones. Even old rubbish heaps, buried underground centuries ago can tell archaeologists how we used to live! Aberdeen City Council has archaeologists who find out how people used to live in Aberdeen. The Maritime Museum, Tolbooth Museum, Marischal Museum and Provost Skene’s house contain lots of clues about the history of Aberdeen and the people who lived here. Have you visited these places to follow up this lead?
