Aberdeen City Heritage Trust in conjunction with Aberdeen City Council can make grants towards the cost of maintaining protected and heritage trees within Aberdeen’s Conservation Areas.
Aberdeen’s environment is enriched by mature trees, both within public parks and in its streets. Trees contribute towards visual amenity, help soften the built environment and provide wildlife habitats; bringing nature into the city.
Aberdeen has approaching 200 Tree Preservation Orders and 11 Conservation Areas in which work to trees are controlled.
Applications for grant assistance will be considered from private residential owners and community groups for protected trees. For further advice or to find out whether you may be eligible for grant assistance, download, complete and return the Tree Management Grant Pre Application form and speak to Duncan McGregor on 01224-522440.
